Last night amidst the Canadian Men’s hockey team winning the Winter Olympic gold medal over the US, music lovers worldwide were saddened and shocked to hear that the legendary underground rapper Guru suffered a cardiac arrest, went in a coma and this Monday was in hospital fighting for his life.
If all Hip-Hop was like Guru’s music, I would still be spinning urban music. I actually was blessed enough to discover Rap and Hip-Hop via some conscious music such as the Jazzmatazz albums.
I pray for Guru and wish him a speedy recovery.
