One my three-month stay in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2007, this song was like an anthem as I heard it played live in every bar and club I went to.

It’s one of the songs that make me miss Rio so much and I cannot wait to spend quite a while there on my world tour.

In this eventful new year, some music has the capacity to soothe the soul and give us hope for the future. Stella Rambisai Chiweshe is a musician from Zimbabwe who plays the mbira in a beautiful manner.

Her rendition (video below) is an example of things that make me keep faith knowing that no matter the hardships our precious Earth faces, we still are blessed with beauty and goodness even if sometimes it’s hard to stop and serious pay attention to.
