The Big Radio Tour

JaBig’s Big Radio Tour is a world record-setting attempt by the DJ from Montreal, Canada to appear as a guest host, guest DJ or interview subject on as many different FM/AM radio stations around the world as possible.

The Big Radio Tour an initiative that is part of The Big Journey, JaBig’s all-in-one epic round-the-world road trip, DJ tour and a global awareness & fundraising campaign in support of the United Nations World Food Programme, the largest humanitarian charity on the planet fighting hunger worldwide (Read more about JaBig’s Big Journey).

The mission is for JaBig to appear on at least on one station in every radio media market. In North America alone (the first stage of the Big Radio Tour), the US has 302 radio metro markets according to Arbitron, the consumer research company while Canada has just over 100 according to BBM, a Canadian audience measurement organization.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Big Radio Tour is the free hourly on-air giveaway. For each hour spent on live radio, JaBig will give away a prize to a lucky listener. This prize that will remain a top secret until the Big Radio Tour schedule and the record-setting attempts are made official by the Guinness World Records, is one of the most wished for items according to Amazon, the world’s largest Internet retailer.

This prize giveaway project is powered by JaBig’s promotional partners who believe and support his round-the-world road trip and its mandate to raise awareness and funds to fight global hunger to help the World Food Programme feed the one billion people on the planet who go to bed hungry every night.

What will each radio guest appearance consist of?

The majority of JaBig’s appearances on radio will be as an drop-in guest, a guest co-presenter or live DJ on a popular show while at times he may have his own guest show “Beats for Life on Radio”. Programming will depend on each radio station’s modus operandi, scheduling and on JaBig’s itinerary.
